Lakeshore Chamber Music Society presents the Iceberg String Quartet.

Our Society has an annual tradition of featuring a string trio or quartet composed of recent music graduates. This year we are fortunate to present the Iceberg String Quartet.

Russell Iceberg (violin), Chris Stork (violin), Chung Han Hsiao (viola) and Jacob Efthimiou (cello) met at McGill's Schulich School of Music.

The Iceberg String Quartet won the McGill Chamber Music Competition in 2017 and was chosen for the “Evolution of the String Quartet” study and performance program at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in 2018. A video produced by the Banff Centre can be seen on YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lTpnm7P0FBQ.

To quote Mr. Iceberg, for the Quartet “performing is a chance to explore what it means to be human.”

Works by Joseph Haydn, Claude Debussy and Béla Bartók will be performed.
