MCSS represents several different major programs with their respective sub-societies including AESUS, BESS, DHNUS, FMT, and FSA. These sub-societies work together with MCSS to organize events and services for their respective majors.

The purpose of AESUS is: to foster collaboration, participation, and friendship among students by organizing social activities and events that allow students to meet each other; to provide assistance and information to students for academic and professional development; and to promote connection with the MCSS and other clubs on campus.

The Bioresource Engineering Student Society (BESS) is the association that represents around 180 undergraduate students enrolled in the Bioresource (B.Eng) program at McGill University. Our services range from organizing campus-wide events to career planning and information seminars. In addition, we organize dinner outings, networking opportunities and social events for our members.

DHNUS is the student undergraduate society that supports Dietetics, Human Nutrition, and Concurrent students at the Macdonald Campus of McGill. We plan fun, engaging, and meaningful events to engage students with nutrition-related activities in and around Montreal. Additionally, our mission is to support students in their academic journeys and future careers while fostering a relaxed, safe, and welcoming social environment where they can also unwind and recharge from the intensity of their studies.

McGill’s Food Science Association (FSA) is a student-led organization that represents the Food Science department. Its mission is to share knowledge and enthusiasm for food science, provide professional networking opportunities, and promote the field of study. The FSA hosts a range of events for undergraduate Food Science students—who are automatically members—including workshops, guest speaker sessions, and professional roundtables.

Farm Management and Technology is a 3 year program. The goal is to promote knowledge in agriculture and a deeper understanding of the environment. Students will gain the tools to build their own enterprise or to continue an already existing farm. This degree covers various aspects of farming such as economics, finance and environmental concerns. Our goal is to equip students with the tools to face a wide variety of tasks involving accounting, machinery and animal husbandry; ultimately allowing them to become resourceful and independent farmers.
